Tips on a Diet?

So I have been on my diet for a week now, I lost an inch everywhere on my body, but I think I might be doing some things wrong. For instance, I eat 1800 calories a day, not healthy though, for example, I eat 1000 calories in one sitting for dinner, and 500-800 calories in another sitting later in the evening. I do target training with weights, and I walk a lot every single day. Typically I eat 6 oz of meat, one cup of white rice, and canned veggies and a large sugar Ice tea drink and a white bun or fresh white bread for supper, and for later I eat maybe a handful of potatoe chips and another sugar drink, but now I hear, you cant even burn that off, it just stores as Fat. I am a big girl weighing about 195 lbs. It worked by just cutting back the portions and exercising, but will this work for 50 pounds. I dont have a reliable source for fresh veggies and fruits, what are some really good ab exercises, I cannot run from an injury on my knees, what is a good alternative to burn more?

You have to come up with some type of a reward system, this will help keep you motivated. One of the best things to do is make a contingency contract. Stating what you want to do, who will help you do it, and what do you get for doing it.

Then also try to find a well balance diet program. My friend did this one diet program where the average weight lose is 7 pounds in 9 days. It might be the thing you are looking for, I know it’s well balanced. If you want e-mail me and I can tell you more about either of these.

What are some good ab exercises for lower ab definition?

I do basic ab workouts at home (sit ups, 6 inches, etc.) and I have been getting results, but only my top two rows are well defined. Any tips to define the end of the coveted six pack?

10 situps
10 V-ups (Touch your hands to your toes, but crunch your body so that they meet midway in the air)
10 lemon squeezers (Position yourself sitting up, put hands at side, and move your torso back into a laying position while extending your legs straight ahead. Now just row your legs to a bend while crunching toward them w/ your torso, then go back to laying position. repeat process)
10 back hypers (lay on stomach, basically a reverse cruncher)
10 Leg lifts (Lay on back, lift straight legs to 45 degree angle, then bring back to ground)
30 seconds of bicycles (Lay on ground, and mimick a bicycle pedal motion w/ your legs)
10 side crunchers each side
10 regular crunchers
30 seconds of flutter kicks (Lay on back, keep both legs straight. Lift them up bairly, now alternate between raising each leg a little bit and brining it back down. This one is tought at first, but after a week it will be easy. Try to think of being a swimmer while doing this one)
10 kick ups (Lay down, bring knees up toward chest, then kick legs upward to become straight in the air.)
10 side double leg lifts (Hard to explain, basically lay on side, and lift both legs simultaneously as high as you can. Will feel weird at first)
10 Forward Rows (Way too hard to explain, google it)
10 Russian Twists (Google it)
10 Scissor Kicks (Lay on back, spread leags apart in air, bring them back to center with one leg above the other, then alternate to mimick a scissor kicking action)
Finish with a bridge for however long you think you can do it.

Once this routine becomes easy, don’t up the reps, just do the whole routine twice. I have sick abs and this is basically what I do (Left a few out for explanation’s sake)

Then also do your run at night. Cut excessive fat out of your diet, but you can have a little still.

Do it and you will have some abs.

How do I get good lookin’ abs?

I’m 15 years old (16 in May) and currently weigh 125 lbs, standing at 5’9″. I’m pretty skinny and have a a flat stomach, so might as well go for abs, right? Anyone with a workout regimen, links to legit ab workout guides, or even any ab-tips will be greatly appreciated if they were to share them here. There is so much on the internet about abs, I’m not sure what to read/watch, let alone trust… so anyone with firsthand experience with building abs could help me better.

I’m kind of serious about it and am willing to spend the time to get my abs, but I don’t have any sort of gym membership or equipment other than some weights (dumbbells) and a big exercise ball… i think its called a stability ball? I don’t care how long it takes, as long as i have abs i can show off in the end. I’ll be happy XD. Thanks.
I’m also thinking about working on my chest and upper body… I’m a bit on a scrawny side and trying to change that. Any advice as to what i can do for that? Push-ups, etc.

What is the best LOWER ab workout?

I Have my middle and upper abs, just my lower abs have that frustrating fat where you cannot see them.
what’s the best LOWER ab workouts? and how can i get rid of that little amount of fat that is blocking the lower abs out?

That is the hardest part of the body to get rid of fat. You will have to diet to loose that fat, even if you arent overweight. Eat healthy, no starvation, you will only have to loose a few pounds and WILL have to exercise. Running and leg exercises that ‘target” that part of the body are what will work if anything. google lower ab exercises, there are tons and videos to show you how to do them properly. seeing them done is better than reading about them.

while you “diet” you may not see results on the scale…your “fat” will be turning into muscle so don’t weigh yourslef!!!!

If you don’t run..try it. it is a great way to get rid of some unwatned “fat” and works the whole body. yes!!! it is hard..so hard but worth it and if you stick with it you will see great results.
